Privacy Policy

At DigitalGen, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website (digitalgen.in), our contact and audit forms, and our service landing pages, why we collect it, who may process it, and how you can contact us about it.

We aim to handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Parts of the Act and its Rules are being brought into force in stages, so we will update this policy as new requirements apply.

When you fill in a form on our website or on one of our landing pages (for example, the AI Video Generation page), we may collect:

• Name
• Phone or WhatsApp number
• Email address, where the form asks for it
• Business details, where provided
• The service or video type you select
• Project requirements or any message you write in the form
• Country, state or city, where the form asks for it
• Website, social media profile or app details, where you submit them for an audit

We also collect technical and usage information, including:

• Browser, device and operating system information
• Pages visited, time spent and the source that brought you to our site
• IP address and approximate location (city, region and country), which our hosting setup records in server logs
• Cookie and storage choices you make on our site (see Section 04)

Some analytics and advertising information is only collected if you accept cookies. Please do not include sensitive personal details, such as financial or government ID numbers, in form messages.

We use your information to:

• Respond to enquiries and consultation requests
• Contact you about the service or video you asked about
• Understand your project requirements
• Prepare proposals, quotations and audit reports
• Provide the services you request
• Improve our website and services
• Measure advertising and campaign performance
• Keep our website secure and prevent spam and abuse
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

When you first visit our site, a cookie banner lets you choose Accept All or Reject Non-Essential. Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement scripts (Section 05) are loaded only after you choose Accept All. If you reject, they are not loaded.

Separately from that choice, our site stores a few small items in your browser to work properly:

• Your cookie choice, so we do not ask on every page
• Your light or dark theme preference
• Short-lived session flags, such as whether you have already seen the intro animation or a blog popup in the current visit

To change your cookie choice later, clear this site's data in your browser settings. The banner will then appear again on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser.

We use the following tools on our website:

• Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, which pages perform well, and which forms or buttons are used. Loaded only after you accept cookies.
• Google Ads measurement to measure the results of our Google Ads campaigns, such as whether a visit led to an enquiry. It runs through the same Google tag, is used only when we are running Google Ads campaigns, and loads only after you accept cookies.
• Vercel Speed Insights to measure page loading performance. It reports technical performance data and is not part of the cookie choice above.

On some pages, embedded YouTube videos or video thumbnails are loaded from Google. When they load, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address.

These providers handle data under their own privacy policies. We will update this list if we add other analytics or advertising tools, such as Meta Pixel.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Our website is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are sent to us over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not sell your personal information. We do use trusted service providers and technology partners to run our website and handle enquiries. Information you submit through our forms may be processed by:

• Google (Gmail) to deliver form submissions to our email inbox
• CallMeBot to send us a WhatsApp alert about a new enquiry, which can include your name, phone number, email and part of your message
• Our database provider where we store enquiries so we can follow up
• Vercel as our website hosting provider, which also processes technical request data such as IP address
• Google for analytics, advertising measurement, embedded videos and, if you use our speed test tool, the PageSpeed service that analyses the website address you enter

When you tap a WhatsApp link on our site, you are taken to WhatsApp, which is governed by its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.

Some of these providers may process data on servers outside India. We share only what is reasonably needed for the purposes in Section 03.

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes it was collected for. This includes responding to enquiries, providing services, keeping legitimate business records, meeting legal obligations, and resolving disputes. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we will delete or anonymise it where reasonably practicable, unless the law requires us to keep it.

You can ask us to:

• Give you access to the personal information we hold about you
• Correct or update inaccurate information
• Delete your personal information, where we are not required to keep it
• Withdraw your consent to our processing of your information, where we rely on your consent

To make a request, email us at maildigitalgen@gmail.com from, or mentioning, the details you used when contacting us, so we can find your records. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before you withdrew it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise a complaint with us first at the same address, and you may also have the right to approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.

To stop receiving calls or messages from us, tell us by email, WhatsApp or phone, or reply to the message you received.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the tools we use, or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
